After the art Academy, where I specialized in photography in Tilburg (2007), I mainly focused on making my own free artisctic work. Now, for several years, I’m active as a photographer and visual artist under the name of Ed Azcona. I also worked for 8 years as a photography teacher in secondary education.
My art consists of paintings, drawings, photography, media art and installation art. My fascinations in my autonomous work are often: light, melancholy, deserted places, movement, emotions, details that nobody sees and industrial views. A recurring theme is the search for hidden stories from people who work with raw materials that eventually made end products.
Together with my wife, we have a photography company in which we capture special moments where life is celebrated, where people meet to enjoy with and from each other.
